ABOUT

What is Jarred Up?

Jarred Up is a Sheffield collective comprised of:

  • Jarred Up Records
  • Jarred Up Presents
  • Jarred Up Magazine
  • Jarred Up Arts Lab

Formed in 2019, Jarred Up was inspired by the nationwide Arts Lab movement of the psychedelic sixties counterculture and following the lineage of Sheffield’s creative underbelly. Formed by artists Max Tanner, David Carpenter, James Watkins and Ollie Franklin. We want to create a network and framework that allows artists of every field to feed off each other’s ideas and push the city’s culture forward.

Putting on various events across the city, from gigs at The Washington, Sidney&Matilda and Yellow Arch, to open mic nights at Picture House Social, Jarred Up is already hugely invested in the fabric of creativity in Sheffield. With three bands on our roster, and booking for numerous other local artists, Jarred Up is at the heart of the DIY music scene in the city. Our new project, the Jarred Up Magazine, like the Jarred Up Arts Lab, represents our continuing interest in encouraging further creative opportunities in the city.
